We are very happy to announce that the new album ‘Dying to Fly’ by 3 piece folk band ‘Carillion’ which has just been released on CD, will also be available to purchase as a download from smallCogmusic very soon!

This excellent band features Lesley Dale on vocals, Martin Dale on guitar and harmonies, and Bob Cuthbertson on guitar, harmonies and some other stuff!!

A biography and gallery will be accompanying the album!

We will shortly be adding 2 new artists to our list. ‘Chug’ Tinkler is an excellent singer/songwriter/guitarist based in Great Yarmouth and we are happy to have an album of his tracks available to release very soon! - Also, a talented singer/songwriter called Chris Cooper. We are currently producing a 4 track demo which will be completed in the next few weeks and available here soon after!

We are currently setting up the shop but wanted to move the current eddiebaird.co.uk site and the ebbatsonbaird.co.uk sites here so we could update just the one and keep on top of it easier! Welcome to smallCog music!

We have had requests recently for copies of various CD’s including ‘Abbey Cottage’ and ‘Bare Facts’ and although we would love to be able to supply them, we were unable to order quantities from our suppliers that were financially viable, and that would not involve a large amount of investment in stock. We have therefore decided to concentrate on digital downloads.

As well as eliminating the cost of pressing CD’s which we can therefore pass onto you, it also raises the exciting prospect of being able to release items which would not have otherwise been possible. We often have ‘odd’ tracks which for one reason or another - they don’t fit in with the other tracks, or they may be unreleased versions or demos of existing tracks, which we can now offer for sale!

This can also include other media which we did not have an outlet for, including videos made to accompany tracks.

Something else we have been looking at is the production of podcasts to promote new tracks or live ventures, so we are looking forward to lots happening in 2010!
